A Thousand Voices Journal is an online journal dedicated to the writings of students who are engaged in a dialogue with their peers against a backdrop of diversity.
We work with students from diverse cultures around the world in an effort to engage them in open communication.
Our goal is to open the hearts of young people to the beauty of living in a diverse world, and to the benefits of peaceful conflict resolution.
Reflections
“I decided to devote my life to telling the story because I felt that having survived I owe something to the dead, and anyone who does not remember betrays them again.” Elie Wiesel
“The biggest obstacle that I think I will continue to face is trying to make people understand that genocide anywhere is a world issue, and not just a foreign issue.” Ashley, Kean University
“I find it amazing how you are interested in Rwanda and what happened, and amazing to learn there is a class that focuses on the Genocide. I believe it is our responsibility to share with the world what happened.” Gaspard Twagirayezu, Oklahoma Christian University, Rwanda Presidential Scholars Program
